Compton, California has a population of 96,455 and it has a crime index of 13 – 100 being the safest. If you lived in California you have a 1 in 226 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime and if you lived in Compton, California you have a 1 in 72 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime. The FBI collects this information from 17,000 local law enforcement agencies and publishes it. Just recently Compton has had 25 murders, 25 rapes, 480 robberies and 803 assaults. For every one thousand resident there are 43 of them that will be victims. Compton’s crime rate is considerably higher than the national average across all communities in America. It is number 36 in the top 100 most dangerous places to live. This according to neighborhoodscout.com.

Latimes.com reports that in the latter part of 2011 Federal prosecutors arrested eight people and seized more than a ton of drugs. All of this happened after a long investigation was done and what they found out was that two national drug trafficking groups were working out of the same block in Compton. This investigation went on for two years. They also seized thousands of prescription pills during this bust. Let’s hope that the individuals hooked on these dangerous drugs have gotten themselves into Los Angeles drug rehabs.

One of the rings was Compton based Front Hood Crips with several of its members being arrested. The second ring was also linked to the Front Hood Crips. These organizations controlled marijuana sales from a house on West Stockwell Street in Compton and also sold prescription pills in Louisiana. There were 15 defendants all together and they were charged with conspiring to distribute narcotics. They do face up to 20 years in federal prison. Those are the kinds of things going on in Compton, California. The war on drugs wages. All of this activity cost our communities many dollars. The best way to fight this is to not do drugs in the first place. Then there would be no one to sell these drugs to. Drugs are very harmful to us our families and our communities. If you know someone who wants to get off drugs; get them to an inpatient treatment center or crystal meth rehab where they can get safe and natural ways to detox and withdraw. Something can be done about it.

Buffalo, New York has a population of 261,310 and it has a crime index of 2 – 100 being the safest. If you lived in New York you have a 1 in 255 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime and if you lived in Buffalo, New York you have a 1 in 72 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime. The FBI collects this information from 17,000 local law enforcement agencies and publishes it. Just recently Buffalo has had 55 murders, 160 rapes, 1,473 robberies and 1,938 assaults. For every one thousand resident there are 73 of them that will be victims. Buffalo has the highest crime rates in America when it is compared to all communities of all sizes. It is number 35 in the top 100 most dangerous places to live. This according to neighborhoodscout.com

Late in the month of January, 2012 buffalo.ynn.com reported that there was an FBI roundup of some of the area worst criminals. On a given morning many different police agencies and SWAT teams brought down nearly a dozen suspected gang members and drug dealers. This was Buffalo’s first raid of the New Year.

US Attorney William Hochul, Jr., said, “This organization was occasionally known as the Lombard, Rother, Gibson, Plater Gang or LRGP for short, and was responsible for according to the complaint for acts of violence and narcotics trafficking in the city of Buffalo.” The federal authorities stated a 27 year old is the leader of this gang and he had been trafficking various forms of cocaine through the Queen city for the past six months. Chris Piehota, FBI Special Agent, said, “We see in Buffalo, many gangs are becoming more organized, more sophisticated, and continue to use violence to control neighborhoods and advance elicited moneymaking schemes.” At this time they are not disclosing how much cocaine was seized but they do make the statement that some of the area’s most violent criminal living right there in New York are now off the streets. Dan Derenda, Buffalo Police Department Commissioner, said, “They have a long history responsible for many shootings, some are involved in homicides, so we will look at the history of some of these individuals and the groups they run with and that’s how we target who we go after.” All of those that were arrested are now facing numerous federal conspiracy charges and they could go to prison for up to 20 years and have a one million dollar fine. Let’s hope that the individuals they got hooked on drugs have gotten themselves to Buffalo drug rehabs.

Newsnet5.com reported in February of 2012 that the DEA confirmed drug busts in six northeast Ohio locations. In Cleveland they went into a warehouse on 41st Street and Clark Avenue and then they went into a house on Stickney Avenue. They also went to several other locations and what they found was the hub of a well-put-together operation that had more than 1,000 marijuana plants. These plants were in different rooms and were all in different stages of growth. DEA also seized many weapons and money.

Fox8.com reported in February of 2012 that Cleveland, Ohio Police officers busted a Grandmother of all things. A 67 year old woman was indicted on 16 charges including drug trafficking and selling a controlled substance on or around school premises. Her accusations include dealing various prescription drugs, such as Oxycodone. Her activity was during the months of December 2011 and January 2012. On a side note her grandson was also indicted. He was carrying a 9mm semi-automatic weapon. Let’s hope that the people who got hooked on these dangerous pharmaceuticals got themselves to Cleveland drug rehabs.

These are a few of the incidents that are going on in Cleveland, Ohio. The war on drugs wages on. From little old grandmothers to organized operations in houses there are people who are growing, selling and distributing drugs of all kinds. If the individuals did not need drugs then these guys could not make money from the selling of them. Drugs are very harmful to us our families and our communities. If you know someone who wants to get off drugs; get them to an inpatient treatment center or crystal meth rehab where they can get safe and natural ways to detox and withdraw. Something can be done about it.

According to neighborhoodscout.com Atlanta, Georgia has a population of 420,003 and a crime index of 1 – 100 being the safest. If you lived in Georgia you would have a 1 in 247 chance of becoming a victim of a violent crime and if you lived in Atlanta, Georgia you would have a 1 in 71 chance of becoming a victim of a violent crime. The FBI collects information from 17,000 local law enforcements agencies and that is where they get the figures for these statements. Just recently altanta has had 93 murders, 96 rapes, 2,228 robberies and 3,473 assaults. For every one thousand resident there are 93 of them that will be a victim. Atlanta has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes. According to neighborhoodscout.com Atlanta is number 33 in the top 100 most dangerous cities to live in.

Just in October of 2011 USA today published an article saying pill mill operations in Georgia have been on the rise. One of the reasons for this is that the nearby states like Florida have ramped up their drug law penalties and the way they regulate the pill mill operations and how they prosecute individuals who run the pain clinic, illegally. There are pain clinics that are enjoying the profits they are making while they run these clinics so they move to other states when they want to avoid new laws, increased criminal penalties.

Benjamin Von Schuch, a drug defense attorney in Atlanta, said, “The number of pill mills in Atlanta is greatly increasing because so many other states are enhancing their drug enforcement efforts against drug tourists, pain clinic operators and pill mill operations.” Rehabs in Louisiana and other southern states are full of painkiller addicts because of such practices.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reports a rise that is significant in pill mills, drug shops, and pain clinics in Atlanta strip malls and along interstate highways and all of this is happening because dealers and people from other states like Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, Maryland and Kentucky are looking for new ways to obtain pain pills. There has also been a 10% increase in prescription pill overdoses in 2010 over 2009 in the state of Georgia.

There are now states that have a database in effect that track drug tourist who have a valid prescription for medication then they go to different states to have the prescription filled more than one time. Georgia does not have a prescription drug monitoring program in operation until 2013. Von Schuch said, “The recent increase in pill clinics in Atlanta will probably result in a higher number of drug arrests throughout the state. These individuals can be charged with a number of drug crimes, including possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell or distribute, and even drug trafficking in some cases. Possession of a controlled substance is a serious felony offense in Georgia a can result in imprisonment ranging anywhere from one to 30 years depending on the schedule the substance is classified in.” Let’s also hope that the individuals who find themselves hooked on these substances get themselves to Atlanta drug rehabs.

Drugs are very harmful to us our families and our communities. If you know someone who wants to get off drugs; get them to an inpatient treatment center or crystal meth rehab where they can get safe and natural ways to detox and withdraw. Something can be done about it.

Pine Bluff, Arkansas has a population of 49,083 and a crime index of 1 – 100 being the safest. If you lived in Arkansas you have a 1 in 197 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime and if you lived in Pine Bluff, Arkansas you have a 1 in 71 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime. The FBI collects information from 17,000 local law enforcement agencies and that is how they come up with these figures. Just recently Pine Bluff has had 7 murders, 40 rapes, 167 robberies and 475 assaults. For every one thousand resident there are 91 of them that will be a victim. Pine Bluff has one of the highest crime rates in America when you compare it to all communities of all sizes. Pine Bluff is number 32 on the top 100 most dangerous cities to live in.

Earlier this year there was a multi-agency investigation into some alleged drug trafficking activities with the distribution of crack cocaine in Pine Bluff. This resulted in over two dozen suspects going to jail. There were nine federal indictments returned by a grand jury for the Eastern district and they were charging 24 defendants with drug conspiracy and multiple substantive counts of distributing crack cocaine. A large amount of these defendants do have prior criminal histories that get into drug trafficking and other violent crimes.

Quentin Tidwell and Keenan Packard headed up an investigation of a drug trafficking organization. They were working with DEA, Pine Bluff Police Department’s Vice & Narcotics Section. All working together they found out that the drug trafficking organization was distributing three to four kilograms of cocaine and crack cocaine per month in the Central and South Arkansas areas and they had been doing that for years. This group was home based in Pine Bluff but they had distribution locations in Little Rock, Stuttgart, Humphrey, Altheimer, and Dumas. They had many dealings with towns and cities within the state of Texas.

Agent Thyer said, “We continue to target the drug trafficking organizations in the Eastern District to make our communities safer for all citizens. It took years of work by federal, state, and local law enforcement to make this operation successful. In addition to the arrests made in this case, a number of weapons were seized – guns that will no longer be used in criminal activity in the towns where we seek to live in peace.” Agent Bryant agreed and said, “This investigation took good solid police work and the teamwork of multiple agencies. With the additional support provided by the Gulf Coast High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) we continue to dismantle drug trafficking organizations in Arkansas.” Let’s hope so — and that those who are currently addicted get themselves to one of the Little Rock drug rehabs, or find other local help in recovering.

Drugs are very harmful to us, our families and our communites. Many dollars are spent to fight the war on drugs. Pine Bluff is doing a good job in that arena. If you know someone who wants to get off drugs; get them to an inpatient treatment center or crystal meth rehab where they can get safe and natural ways to detox and withdraw. Something can be done about it.

Earlier this month there was an investigation going on by Palo Alto police. They were looking into some stolen iPads and that led to one of the largest methamphetamine busts in the country’s history. The federal agents and police seized 750 pounds of methamphetamine and all of this had a street value of $34 million. They were looking into a San Jose apartment and they spotted the drugs according to the US Drug Enforcement Administration. Palo Alto detectives were pursuing the electronic thefts when they came across this large quantity of methamphetamine. They called in help from the San Jose police and the Santa Clara County district attorney who then call the DEA. Casey Rettig, DEA Special Agent stated: “This bust is one of the largest we are aware of. They found boxes and boxes containing bags and bags and bags of methamphetamine inside the apartment.” 750 pounds, or 340 kilograms of methamphetamine confiscated in San Jose is equal to about 16 percent of all methamphetamine seized across the country last year and this is according to figures on the U.S. Department of Justice Website.

The home where this investigation took place is part of the Woods, that is a subdivision in south San Jose which a “park-like setting of mature trees, formal landscaped garden.” A perfect place to hide. The officials think the home was being used both as a residence and as a lab where powdered methamphetamine was converted into crystal form. At this time it is too early to link the lab to known drug cartel or trafficking networks, even though the trend in large methamphetamine busts in Central and Northern California involves ice conversion labs for drugs smuggled in from Mexico. Just last month the Mexican Army seized 15 tons of pure methamphetamine with an estimated U.S. street value of $4 billion. That is a huge haul from this raid in western Mexico. Hopefully that can put a dent into the supply chain in the U.S. That my friend is a great ending to one story of the war on drugs. That is a huge haul. Well done to the officials that were involved in this raid in Mexico and in San Jose, California. Sometimes you know they are making a difference. Let’s hope that the people who have become hooked on meth also get themselves help at one of the San Francisco drug rehabs.

Methamphetamine is very harmful and addictive. Taking it off the streets is one way to change things. If you know someone who needs help getting off drugs get them to an inpatient treatment center or crystal meth rehab where they can get safe and natural ways of detoxing and withdrawing. Something can be done about it.

What do Fruit Flies and METH have to do with each other. Barry Pittendrigh professor at the University of Illinois lead some research and reported it in the journal PLoS ONE. He stated that unlike other studies which focus on the brain his new analysis looked at molecular changes throughout the body. Pittendrigh used fruit flies. He stated, “one of the great things about working with fruit flies is that because they’re small, we can work with the whole organism and then look at the great diversity of tissues that are being impacted.” He also stated, “This is important because we know that methamphetamine influences cellular processes associated with aging, it affects spermatogenesis, and it impacts the heart. One could almost call meth a perfect storm toxin because it does so much damage to so many different tissues in the body.”

The researchers identified many molecular pathways that are significantly altered by METH. These pathways affect energy generation, sugar metabolism, sperm cell formation, cell structure, hormones, skeletal muscle and cardiac muscles. They also found some unusual disruptions of normal cellular events because of the use of METH.

So now we have evidence because of the fruit flies that METH can be very damaging to our bodies. It may give you an excellent high but at what cost. I understand that if you just try this drug you will want more and more. If you do more and more you will get ill and harm your body in ways that you can’s even see right now.

Dr. Eric Braverman is an addiction specialist and author of “Younger (Sexier) You” and he told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “It doesn’t need to be imported; it can be made at home, so it’s one of the hardest substances to police or control.” He is talking about Crystal meth. The celebs call it Cristie, Ice, Tweak, Chalk, chicken Feed. No matter what they are calling it these days it is on the rise in Hollywood. Beating out cocaine.

Here are some examples of celebs that are effect of it. “Black-eyed Peas” lead singer was hooked on meth. Tom Sizemore was arrested for possession of meth in 2007. In 2008 Farrah Fawcett’s son, Ryan O’Neal was arrested after police found meth all over his home. Jodie Sweetin told all in 2009 about her struggles with crystal meth.

Crystal meth is very hard on one’s health. It will blow out the brain’s ability to make dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter that controls the brains pleasure center and will result in brain damage. Dr. Braverman stated that the user can only regain physical energy from continuing to use meth. When you observe some abusers who are dependent on meth you will find they may have no teeth and horrible looking skin. It is a toxic chemical and can cause more harm to the body than heroin or cocaine. An addict can get some physical impairment from it prolonged use and that can be with the addict for years after. This crystal meth can cause psychotic behaviors. The addict may get insomnia, anxiety, paranoia, violent aggression, hallucinations and may even lead to death. Even though this information about its consequences gets to the celebs crystal meth still has allure in the image conscious entertainment industry. Dr. Braverman said, “There is a lot of pressure to maintain a Hollywood relationship, and meth (gives the perception of) increased libido sexual performance.” It was also noted that meth is also used for appetite suppression side effect. Many of the celebs take it just to drop a few pounds.

There are those in Hollywood that are still waiting for that “big break” so they take meth because it is referred to as “poor man’s cocaine”. It is cheaper and it can be cooked right in their own kitchen.

Don’t get the idea that Hollywood is just sitting on the side lines watching the drug get its popularity. There is a Meth-Project which is a large scale program aimed at reducing first time meth use. The biggest problem is treating the existing addicts. Dr. Braverman said, “It’s very hard to keep a meth addict in treatment. It’s a real struggle to treat them, but generally rehab centers are best.” “ You have to diagnose the underlying problem that causes he or she to use.”

From the time when we are young and having fun there may be people in your lives who albeit love you but they stop you.

It may be your mom or your Dad and maybe a friend, a boyfriend, a girlfriend or even your spouse. Nevertheless this person may say things to you like “no, you can’t do that.” “Boy are you stupid” “You will never amount to anything”, that is the start of someone squashing you, invalidating you.

We are taught that we must get along with people so when they say things like that to us we usually don’t talk back or defend ourselves so now we are letting this problem grow.

We usually don’t know how to handle this problem and it causes us emotional disturbance and sometimes we get sick over it. So now we turn to drugs.

We don’t want to think about that problem. We may even meet more destructive people while we are using these drugs. We become associated with negative and anti social people that can be a very destructive influence on a drug user’s life.

The sensible answer would be to handle or disconnect from these people. But now you are a drug user and this is not the easiest thing to do. When you get into a program to get off drugs that is one the things you need to address so you can stay off drugs.

When you go to Narconon Louisiana Riverbend Retreat there is a part of the program that addresses just that. You will learn to get the ability to spot and handle or disconnect from people who are negatively influencing your life. This meth addiction treatment is key.

We don’t just disconnect from all people that were unpleasant to us when we were young but we do learn how to go handle them so this person does not affect you anymore. After you get this knowledge you can control the decisions over who you choose to hang out with and you will also learn how to smooth out some things with your family members. This is a very important part of crystal meth rehab. If this is not addressed you will use again.

The Rush This is the first thing you get when you take meth is “the Rush” your heart beat races as well as your metabolism. Your blood pressure and pulse go really high. Meth is not like cocaine totally, because cocaine gives you a two to five minute rush but meth gives you a 30 minute rush.

The High This is when we get in what they call “the shoulder” which is the high. During this high the abuser often feels aggressively smarter and becomes argumentative. They will interrupt other people and finish their sentences. Then the user gets delusional like intensely focusing on insignificant items. An example of this is repeatedly leaning the same window for several hours. The high can last 4 to 16 hours.

The Binge This binge in an uncontrolled use of the drug. You get an urge to maintain the high by smoking or injecting the meth. The Binge can last 3 to 15 days. The effects of the drug get less and less.

Tweaking This is the most dangerous phase of the drug use. It is a condition reached at the end of the drug binge when meth no longer provides a rush or a high. Now you are not able to relive the horrible feelings of emptiness and craving and you lose your sense of identity.

The Crash This happens when the body shuts down because it is unable to cope with the drug effects overwhelming it. Now the abuser will go into a long period of sleep. The crash can last one to three days.

Meth hangover When the crash is over the abuser is in a deterioted state. You are starved, dehydrated and utterly exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally. This stage ordinarily last from 2 to 14 days.

Withdrawal this may take 30 to 90 days after the last drug use before the abuser realizes he is in withdrawal. He becomes depressed loses his energy and the ability to experience pleasure. The craving for more meth Hits hard and you may become suicidal. That is when you revert back to the METH.

Withdrawal does not have to be painful and last 90 days. There are crystal meth drug rehab programs that are able to prevent the majority of withdrawal symptoms through natural remedies. Call our hotline now for assistance. 1-877-340-3602.
