Idaho reports that crystal meth abuse is one of the biggest threats to the state. During 2006, law enforcement agencies in Idaho seized 42.5 pounds, 10.1 gallons and 285 dosage units of methamphetamine.

In 2007 there were approximately 28% of the Federally-sentenced defendants in Idaho that had committed drug offenses. More than 70% of the drug cases involved methamphetamine. Additionally, in 2007 there were four children that were affected by methamphetamine laboratories in Idaho.
