Also during 2007, authorities reported that there were two children affected by methamphetamine labs in Montana. In that same year, 26.4% of the parents of children in out-of-home foster care had lost custody of their children due to methamphetamine-related abuse.

2007 saw only 7,937 admissions to drug and alcohol rehabs in the state of Montana. Only 780 of those admissions were for a crystal meth addiction.
